From frustration to flexibility
The founder of Homesourcing, Anders Fjelstad, is a computer engineer by training and has many years of experience as a developer in both the private and public sectors. As a team leader, he worked closely with outsourcing projects, and experienced firsthand how the models often failed. To ensure progress, the projects were followed up with increasingly more middle managers, which created misunderstandings, frustration – and in practice increased costs rather than providing savings.
In 2020, Anders decided to do outsourcing in a new way. He wanted to build a company based on handpicked developers who could work independently, with ownership of the tasks and close collaboration with the customers. After a lot of trial and error, he found the right match in the Balkans, where the work culture turned out to harmonize very well with Nordic values such as openness, responsibility and quality.
Five years later, in 2025, Homesourcing has grown to over 100 affiliated developers working with over 50 Nordic clients. The company has become a trusted partner for businesses that want flexibility, quality and results – without the classic challenges of traditional outsourcing.
The name Homesourcing plays on the combination of “home” and “outsourcing” – Anders wanted to show that we bring developers closer to customers, with Nordic values and collaboration that feels more like “in-house” than traditional outsourcing.
